The Air Force did not rule out possible attacks by Russian troops on Ukraine on Easter night, and announced its readiness to repel possible enemy attacks.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine in the telethon broadcast of Ilya Yevlash, the spokesman of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“We cannot rule out the fact that a vicious and insidious enemy could simply harm and spoil people's holiday by launching their rocket attacks on Easter night,” he noted.
As Yevlash noted, the Air Force of Ukraine is waiting its turn and is ready to repel an enemy attack.
“However, regardless of whether it is Easter or a normal, average day, people should be careful at all times,” the speaker warned.
Strengthening security measures ahead of Easter
As a reminder, this year Ukrainians will celebrate Easter on May 5. However, the celebration will be held with some restrictions due to military operations.
Therefore, the Disinformation Center of the National Defense and Security Council of Ukraine warns of possible missile provocations by Russia during the Easter holidays.
In addition, the SBU conducted security operations in the center at key locations such as Sofiyska and Mykhailivska Squares and surrounding areas.
Also, during the Easter holidays, more than 7,000 rescuers and more than 2,200 units of special equipment will be on duty to respond to potential emergency situations in Ukraine.
