Thunderstorms, which had been warned by meteorologists days in advance, began to move in from Germany West Bohemia and North-West Frontier Provinces. “Hazlov in Aš, it starts. The thunder is thundering, the wind blows slowly,” Zdeňka Furt TuJe pointed out for the tenth time in the evening on the Facebook page of the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute. “Domažlice and a little more and it’s here,” added Michal Holý.

Firefighters from the Pilsen region announced on Twitter that they were going to Tomaszliko for first interventions. “For now, it’s all about the fallen trees on the roads,” they said.

Heavy storm hits Germany: Streets flooded, tornadoes reported

From 18:00 tonight until 04:00 Friday 04:00 Friday, a very strong thunderstorm warning applies to the Prague region, the Central Bohemian and South Bohemian regions and the entire Pilsen, Karlovy Vary, Ústí and part of the Liberec regions. In the rest of Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia, strong thunderstorms are possible until 07:00 on Friday.
