“There have been reports from the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Strategy and Industry about contracts for the supply of weapons and shells from partner countries and from our own production. This year we must achieve full Ukrainian defense production. It is the clear strategic perspective of Ukraine that during the period of independence and every year we will steadily add to our energy,” Zelenskyi said.
Drones made in Ukraine
The Ukrainian army already has dozens of drones of domestic production. We are not only talking about unmanned aerial vehicles, but also surface drones.
Earlier, the Minister of Strategic Industry, Oleksandr Kamishin, announced that Ukraine had established mass production of domestic analogues of “Shakhets”.
According to him, over the past year, Ukrainian “security” has increased sixfold.
Ukraine has already overtaken the Russian Federation in the number of remote kamikaze drones, Digital Transformation Minister Mykhailo Fedorov said. He also noted that technologies will soon emerge where the military can control drones while they are far from the front lines.
