Three Ukrainian citizens died in a road accident in Poland

In Poland, three people died in a traffic accident on the border between Kliwis and Žernytsia (Silesian Voivodeship) on Sunday afternoon – all of them Ukrainian citizens.

The spokesman of the Gliwice Police Department, Sub-Inspector Marek Slomskyi, said the accident happened around 12:40 on Smolnytskyi Street in Gliwice, which leads to Zhernytsia.

“A 40-year-old driver of an Audi A6 collided with an Audi A4 driving from the opposite side on a curve, lost control and crashed into a roadside tree, killing three Ukrainian citizens on the spot”. Slomsky said.

An ambulance helicopter has landed at the scene, as well as firefighters and police officers. “The prosecutor, together with the police investigation team, is investigating the circumstances of the incident,” a Clewis police spokesman added.

The road is blocked. Difficulties will last until 18:00 local time.

We would like to remind you that the accident involving the Ukrainian minibus happened on December 21 at the entrance to the “Grebenne – Rava-Ruska” checkpoint at about 5:30 (6:30 Kyiv time).

Polish media reported A 30-year-old passenger died. Tests revealed the 42-year-old driver was sober.
