Volunteers of the “Freedom of Russia” brigade recorded a video call to their citizens to rise from the Kremlin’s dictatorship and fight for a Russia free from Putin.

“People of Russia! We are Russians like you. The only difference between us is that we no longer want to justify the actions of criminals in power. He took up arms to defend our freedom and yours. But today is the time for everyone to take charge of their future. It’s time to put an end to the Kremlin’s tyranny: the Legion is coming home,” the appeal reads.
They called on the residents of the border areas not to resist and not to fear them.
“Stay at home, resist not, fear not: we are not your enemies. Unlike Putin’s zombies, We don’t touch the public and we don’t use them for our own purposes. Freedom is at hand!” the legionnaires insisted.
According to open information, the “Freedom of Russia” brigade is a military unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, created from Russian prisoners of war and volunteers who returned to Ukraine due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The second such unit is the Russian Volunteer Corps, which was created in August 2022.
