Shari received a new suspicion from the SBU – he helped the FSB with videos of interrogations of Ukrainian prisoners.

It was established that Shari participated in the production and distribution of staged videos of Russians interrogating Ukrainian prisoners.

In particular, the propagandist personally instructed the FSB on how to properly film the interrogations and what questions to ask the POWs. Already after filming, he edited the video, cutting out moments that were “unprofitable” for Russia.

Notably, the Russians used edited stories to artificially discredit Ukraine’s military and political leadership, including on the international stage.

According to the investigation, Sharia engaged in the covert cooperation of Maxim Kozenko, an employee of the 5th service of the FSB.

A colleague in Sevastopol helped the blogger to contact the Russian special services. He became the former head of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Vinnytsia region, Anton Shevtsov, who was already suspected of treason in early 2023.

It is documented that Shari received from him a video of the interrogation of two captured soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. After editing the files, they “agreed” with a representative of the Russian special service.

Shari then filled out the destructive plot with her own comments, published it on her websites and reported to her supervisors by sending links to the publications.

However, the blogger admits in conversations with an associate that despite the editing, the poor condition of the prisoners could not be covered. Responding to videos posted on social networks, relatives of Ukrainian fighters asked not to film or torture their relatives.

Based on the collected evidence, the investigators reported the suspicion to Sharia under Part 2 of Art. 28 and part 2 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code (treason committed under martial law, by conspiracy before a group of persons).

Both the accused are absconding from justice. They face life imprisonment.

Suspicion of Sharia

Again in February 2021 The SBU reported this suspicion to Sharia According to Part 1 of Art. 111 (treason) and part 1 of art. 161 of the Criminal Code (violating the equality of citizens on the basis of race, nationality, religious beliefs, disability and other grounds).

According to investigators, Shari acted in the information sector to the detriment of Ukraine’s national security. There are reasons to believe that he acted on the orders of foreign structures.

In 2022, Spanish law enforcement authorities detained Sharia, and Ukraine began extradition proceedings.

At the same time, the Spanish National Court released the blogger. He was released from custody on recognizance and his passport was taken.

We should also add that Shari is subject to economic sanctions and his political party is banned in Ukraine.
