What is the difference between glacier, snow and frost and how do they form (source: ČT24)

An icebox It occurs as a phenomenon like freezing rain or freezing drizzle. During freezing rain, supercooled water droplets (i.e. water droplets that remain liquid even at sub-freezing temperatures) fall on the Earth's surface, or water droplets fall on a subzero surface. In such a case, the water immediately freezes upon the impact of the droplet and a glacier is formed, which, unlike snow, is clear and, above all, often completely smooth. Snow is especially dangerous in traffic for this reason – it's much scarier than snow.
Precipitation that falls can freeze on tree branches or power lines. In extreme cases, especially when strong ice forms, branches can break or entire trees can bend. There may also be disruptions in power supply.

snowball A layer of ice covering the Earth's surface is formed by the gradual freezing of (non-supercooled) raindrops or drizzle on the Earth's surface. When the temperature drops below freezing, ice forms when partially or completely melted snow freezes. Due to the daily temperature, after sunset, wet traces of melting snow collected on the edge of roads often freeze, and in addition to snow, so-called frost is formed in this way. A thin layer of ice is often formed under the wheels of passing vehicles by driving over continuous snow cover.
