Footage released by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on Saturday shows members of the Snabir Special Naval Unit killing Hamas terrorists on October 7. They tried to infiltrate Israel by sea from the Gaza Strip. writes Server The Times of Israel.
During last weekend’s offensive, Hamas fired thousands of rockets by air, land, sea and air into Israeli cities and military bases, killing at least 1,300 people, mostly civilians.
After the Hamas speedboats were sunk by Dvora-class patrol boats from the 916th Patrol Squadron, the video shows Snapira sailors from the smaller Defender-class boats opening fire and using depth charges on the surviving terrorists and Hamas divers.
The Israeli Navy’s ‘Snabir’ unit opened fire on the terrorists who were swimming towards the shore in an attempt to enter Israel by sea.
The soldiers defeated several terrorists and prevented them from reaching the beach.

According to the IDF, the attackers tried to swim to an Israeli beach. The Israeli naval unit “Snabir” opened fire on the terrorists who were swimming towards the beach in an attempt to infiltrate into Israel by sea. The soldiers killed many terrorists and prevented them from reaching the beach.” said the IDF.
Snapir is a port security and surveillance unit that is part of patrol forces stationed at the naval bases in Ashdod, Haifa and Eilat.
The IDF said the navy killed dozens of Palestinian terrorists aboard speedboats and other vessels in an attack last weekend.
