According to the results of a survey conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology, 88% of respondents support the idea that learning English should be compulsory for Ukrainians.

The Future Perfect program has products and services to help you learn English «in a convenient and accessible format,” said the Digital Ministry. Chief among them are the Empower platform and the ProMoa language learning platform. These are free tools, clarified in the field.

Offering a personalized approach to language learning, the Promova platform offers Ukrainians the opportunity to get premium access to all language courses for 3 years. The Empower online platform for teaching English at the University of Cambridge is available to teachers and students from Ukraine.

Prime Minister Denis Shmihal noted that the program is open to every Ukrainian, regardless of financial status or place of residence.

Ministry of Digital Transformation in association with Govt Plans to build There are also the following conditions for Ukrainians to learn English:

  • introducing support for taking English courses;
  • Learning English from Kindergarten;
  • Native speakers of the language teach in schools;
  • Teachers can get free training, employment, training courses in English;
  • English will be made compulsory for government employees.

In July, the Humanitarian Committee of the Verkhovna Rada supported Draft Law No. 9432 on the status of English as one of the languages ​​of international communication in Ukraine, proposed by President Volodymyr Zelensky. According to the text of the plan, the spheres of use of English in Ukraine should be extended to the military, medicine, transport systems and culture.
