The Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, Oleksandr Chirsky, said that the enemy had spent two days in Kurakiv and Pokrov areas, where the enemy had hit hard.
He called it unacceptable when a company or battalion commander led a battle several kilometers from his units and made decisions on which the lives of soldiers depended.
“The presence of the commander plays a decisive role in maintaining a high morale and psychological state among the subordinates, their stability, the belief that they are not left to their own devices,” – mentioned Syrian
He said he had taken a decision to strengthen defenses and deploy the necessary number of missiles, ammunition and UAVs to “successfully repulse the enemy’s attacks and inflict significant losses on him”.
President Volodymyr Zelensky also convened a headquarters meeting to discuss arms supplies and preparations to repel Russian attacks.
