In the north of Moravia, one car ended up in a cliff on its roof, while another crashed into a retaining wall.

On Sunday morning, two fire brigades intervened on the I/56 road, which connects Frýdek-Místek to Frýdlant nad Ostravicí. For reasons yet to be determined, Felicia’s driver drove onto a paved shoulder, where he crashed into the guardrail.

“After the collision, the car was thrown to the right in the right continuous traffic lane, where it came to rest. The 58-year-old driver was seriously injured in the accident and handed over to the medical authorities. The circumstances of the accident are being investigated by the Frýdek-local traffic police,” said Moravian-Silesian police spokeswoman Paola Jirosková.

Firefighters had to extricate the driver from the car. They then sealed the leaking functional cartridges with a sorbent

Jakub Kozak, spokesman for the Moravian-Silesian fire brigade, added that firefighters had to get the driver out of the car on the back plate through the fifth door. “Fire prevention measures were then carried out on the vehicle, and firefighters covered the leaked functional fillers with sorbent,” Kozak explained.
