In Kamianets-Podilskyi (Khmelnytskyi region) on the Palm Sunday holiday on April 9, local activists demanded to hand over the keys of the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral (UPC MP) to the OCU, clashes broke out, reported Local publication “KOD Kamianets”.
“During yesterday’s meeting, the community of Kamianets-Podilsky spoke in favor of transferring the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral to the OCU, but the priests did not give the keys to the church, and the censor board was not allowed into the premises.” – says the message on the publication’s Telegram channel.
Clashes broke out near the cathedral on Sunday evening. Aspirants and parishioners spent the night on the territory of the cathedral.
Local law enforcement officials appealed to those present to act within the law. They mention that the police have registered several complaints and are investigating them for the past two days.
