A “very iconic personality” was seriously injured during a special operation by Ukrainian intelligence officers in the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation, said Kyrillo Budanov, head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. .

“This is a normal operation for us.. As far as I am concerned, we have an open war and there is nothing to be surprised about. The person who was seriously injured was an iconic figure. They immediately called a helicopter to evacuate him directly to Moscow,” Budanov said on Telethon's broadcast on Friday evening.

He further stated that all others will not be published.

Earlier, the GUR of the Ministry of Defense announced that special officers of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine “in connection with the increase in the number of acts of sabotage by the Russians and for the protection of Ukrainian citizens living near the state.” Suffering from attacks by border and invaders, a raid was conducted in the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation.

While carrying out the mission, the scouts cut the only road used by the invaders in the specified area and also attacked the Russian regimental stronghold.
