Article update: “One does not survive, another in critical condition after hitting tree”
Before one o’clock this afternoon, a serious traffic accident occurred on the road 169/II between the villages of Týnec and K Malému Bor near Horažďovice in the Klatovsk region, during which a passenger car crashed into a tree.
All emergency services attended the crash and an Air Rescue Service helicopter was called. When firefighters arrived, one person was out of the car and the other was trapped in the wreckage, so firefighters began extrication, securing the scene and taking fire precautions.
Unfortunately, despite all the best efforts of responders, a doctor had to pronounce one of the men dead due to extensive, catastrophic injuries. The paramedic was replaced by the coroner at the scene, and criminal investigators conducted an investigation into the accident.
A second injured person was attended to by air rescue services. “We transported a young man who was in critical condition and connected to the Pilsen University Hospital emergency with artificial lung ventilation.” A spokesperson for LZS told us.
The road was completely closed for the duration of the intervention and the site is now passable with a lane.
Police officers are at the scene investigating the circumstances of the accident and will add their report as soon as it is available.

“One young man with very serious injuries was treated by paramedics at the scene, unconscious and airlifted to Lochotin Emergency Teaching Hospital. A second man suffered non-life-threatening traumatic injuries and died at the scene.” A spokesman for the Rescue Squad told us.
“Today, after noon, a serious traffic accident occurred on the road No. II/169. The driver of a passenger vehicle born in 2003 was driving in the direction of travel from the village of Rabi to the village of Horastovice. According to the information received so far, due to high speed, he left the road and drove to the right. .there crashed into a tree.The driver of the vehicle was taken to the hospital by Air Ambulance for treatment and the passenger, born in 2003, succumbed to his injuries on the spot.An autopsy was ordered and a blood sample was taken from the driver. The police spokesperson added.
