Quarantine: Epidemic limit exceeded in three regions – Chief Sunligarh

Due to the circulation of influenza A and B viruses in 22 regions of the country, the incidence of SARS among children under 17 years has now increased.

On Saturday, February 3, the epidemic limit for SARS was recorded in three regions of Ukraine. However, this is not a reason to introduce strict quarantine measures on the territory of the country.

about this reported Chief State Health Physician and Deputy Minister of Health Ihor Gucin commented to RBC-Ukraine.

According to him, the space limit has been exceeded in Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi and Chernivtsi regions.

“An increase in cases of SARS was registered in 5 more regions: Vinnytsia, Lviv, Rivne, Ternopil and Chernihiv. In other regions of the country, as of January 31, there was no epidemic,” the chief health doctor of the country clarified.

As influenza A and B viruses are circulating in 22 regions of the country, the incidence of SARS among children under the age of 17 is currently increasing, but there are currently no plans to introduce quarantine in schools across Ukraine, Kuzin noted.

“Measures such as quarantine or holiday extension are currently being implemented in areas of the country where there is a sharp increase in cases of SARS or where the epidemic threshold is exceeded,” he added.

Ihor Kuzin noted that if the epidemic situation worsens in one or another community, the regional commissions of TEB and NS have the right to resort locally to measures aimed at reducing the risk and spread of the epidemic. Such measures may include introducing a mask regime, social distancing or canceling mass events until the situation stabilizes.
