From 4,000 to 8,000 thousand US dollars – this is the amount that a resident of Bukovina who helped the draft age escape from Ukraine.
Investigators of the Capital Police Headquarters, together with employees of the Strategic Investigation Department in Kyiv, under the procedural guidance of the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office, exposed a 42-year-old woman.
They established that the accused woman, through acquaintances, sought out three men of military age who wanted to leave the country.
To carry out his plans, the woman agreed with other accomplices, whose identities were now established, and created a plan to transport “customers” across state lines.
One of the men paid her six thousand US dollars, after which the violator took them in a car to a prearranged location and drove in the direction of the state border with Ukraine.
“According to the plan, they were supposed to travel by boat, but police officials prevented the execution of the criminal plan,” law enforcement officials said.
They conducted 11 raids, during which they seized 8 thousand US dollars, 890 Euros, stamps, bank cards, memory cards, mobile phones, documents, as well as two pistols, 26 bullets.
The organizer of the criminal business was detained, and the material evidence was sent for expert examination.
Based on this fact, the investigative department of the metropolitan police initiated criminal proceedings under the article – Illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine, committed by an organized group for selfish reasons.
The problem of notifying the suspect and choosing preventive measures is solved.
Law enforcement officials are taking steps to identify other individuals involved in the criminal offense and bring them to justice.
A woman faces loss of benefits for seven to nine years, disqualification from holding certain positions or engaging in certain activities with confiscation of property for up to three years.
