There is no plan to disconnect household consumers in Ukraine, but there is a risk of emergency disconnection

In the past day, consumers’ needs were covered by Ukrainian electricity production, commercial imports from other countries and emergency aid from three countries – Romania, Slovakia and Poland. From the start of the day, there are no shutdowns or restrictions in emergency mode, informs Ministry of Energy of Ukraine.

“Today, at night and in the morning, at the request of Ukraine, emergency power supply has already been carried out from Romania, Slovakia and Poland. It is also possible to call for emergency help in the evening,” the Ministry of Energy said.

Energy experts again urge us to use electricity responsibly and reduce the amount of energy used as much as possible.

There are no restrictions on May 19. However, to avoid emergency shutdowns, experts from the Ministry of Energy ask consumers to limit the use of energy-intensive devices during peak hours – 17:00 to 22:00.

The Ministry of Energy urges industrial consumers to enter into contracts related to the importation of the resource “to strengthen the stability of the energy system and avoid outages.”

Earlier in the day, May 18, industrial and commercial facilities requiring electricity operated under scheduled supply restrictions. According to Ukrenergo, no shutdowns are planned for household consumers.
