If Russia attacks Zaporizhia NPP, Poland will retaliate accordingly. Said Poland’s Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau on a BBC Newsnight programme.
“It will be a new, completely new situation. So we will respond adequately,” he stressed.
He explained that the use of this type of weapon or the resort to such a threat would affect not only Ukraine, but also a large part of the NATO region.
“So it will require an adequate response. Don’t expect me to tell you what it will be,” the Polish foreign minister said.
International Atomic Energy Agency experts said they were closely monitoring the situation at the Zaporizhzhia NPP in response to reports of sabotage threats. But recent surveys have found no signs of mining there.
Ukraine’s Deputy Minister of Defense believes that with such manipulations the Russian Federation wants to change the course of the war in its favor.
