The First Lady and the Hollywood actor attended the UNICEF event.
Olena Zelenska posted a joint photo on Instagram with Hollywood actor Orlando Bloom, who visited Ukraine. They were photographed during the meeting “UNICEF: Youth for Ukraine. Recovery Plan”.
There were also participants from the UPSHIFT program of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF). UPSHIFT is an innovative program for youth and young adults that helps turn ideas into actionable projects that benefit communities.
The event discussed three critical recovery areas: mental health and psychosocial support, education and capacity building, and youth-friendly infrastructure.
The First Lady noted that the war brought a difficult and traumatic experience to Ukrainian youth. At the same time, teenagers find the strength to study and build a future.
“Educated people who know how to think, who know how to acquire and apply knowledge – this is what is needed for success. Thank you for learning – for yourself and for the country. My special thanks to our friends at UNICEF. Throughout the year they held many events for teenagers, helping them grow and learn. This event of ours is such an example. “Support is very important. It helps not to give up,” Zelenska said.
At the event, the first lady appeared in a sensible business look. She wore a gray three-piece suit consisting of a white blouse and a jacket, a leather belt and a waistcoat with flared trousers. She was wearing a black dress.
Zelenska attached to her lapel a gold brooch in the shape of the famous rooster from Borodianka from the Ukrainian brand Kunia project.
Olena styled it with curls and soft makeup. On the ears were laconic stud earrings.
